Since 2021, the Spark Cycling community has raised just shy of $150,000 for local nonprofit organizations.
Philanthropy is part of who we are. Our community goes beyond the bike, coming together to support local causes with generosity, compassion, and care. From animal rescue to education, adaptive recreation to housing support, we’ve raised funds for organizations that make a difference. And every time a member hits a milestone, we donate in their honor to a local nonprofit of their choice.
plunge for the funds
Each May, we host Plunge for the Funds, a cold plunge event benefitting the Dr. Nick Hyde ALS Patient Assistance Fund at MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital. Thanks to our incredible community, the fund has received $85,000 to date, helping ALS patients across Maine access the care and support they need.
SPARKsgiving
Each Thanksgiving morning, we come together for three gratitude-filled classes, raising money and food donations for our neighbors at Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program. It’s one of our favorite traditions, a reminder of how strong our community is when we give together.
pride
We believe in showing up for what matters, and few do it with more flair than our friend, local drag queen Ophelia Johnson. Together, we’ve raised funds for Brunswick Pride and Equality Maine, celebrating inclusion, joy, and community.
